Where is this going?

I started with the change for very different reasons than where we headed this week. I wanted to go to a more theological view to express where I was at spiritually and what I was dealing with in my walk. I thought I would or could find spiritual peace as I put it all out in journal form. On my first entry on Sunday I did just what I wished for by talking about my reflections on the sermon and dealing with my own weakness in the faith. In response to a couple of comments, I decided to go somewhere different and explain things in a different way. Where today went with comments and such is not where I intended for this road to go. I am here for spiritual peace. I love deep discussion but in no way want to cause any division amongst the children of God. Luckily, my biggest "debater" this week is a great friend and understands my method of "speech."

Even as early as last night when I received a very sarcastic and derogatory comment by an Anonymous sender, I questioned my decision to make this change. However, I can find peace in this in some way. I have very thoughtful commenters of varying doctrinal beliefs. I have friends that find peace in what I write by knowing they are not alone. So, I will carry on. But, I feel I must write a disclaimer.

These are my views as I feel the Spirit has revealed them to me through His Word. I am not a violent religious extremist although I do believe there is only one God and one Truth. I do not participate and/or encourage any type of violence. I believe in religious liberty with my whole heart because I realize one day my freedom may be taken away. I am open to dialogue with differing opinions and faith. I will post all comments unless they are offensive or threatening. I am not easily offended so if you do not find your comment, you were probably out of line.

May this pilgrim's progress continue...

You keep writing and creating discussion Michelle. Don't let a few ignorant comments cowardly hidden behind an Anonymous label discourage you.

I like the direction you are going with your blog, but I knew it would draw a few haters. Don't worry...you'll see more. Just keep blogging what God puts in your heart.

Oh...and love the antagonistic Anonymous commenters anyway. :)

Gee I'm sorry to read that you apparently had someone say some rather unkind stuff to you. Because there is everything out on the internet, that means every thing - good and bad. I always figure it's a take what is good and ignore the bad.

I think many of us do the blog thing as a venue to journal, to process, what is going on for us. I know I do.

I want you to know that I value you what you have to say and appreciate the fact that it stimulates me. At the risk of being redundant (since I just wrote this on my blog), Proverbs 27:17 is one of my favorite Bible verses - "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." I've found your thoughts to sharpen my thinking on more than one occasion.

Be blessed my friend and continue to do what you feel led to do.

BTW - You've got me adding "Pilgrims Progress" to my reading list for 2010 (It's been a long time since I read it and I'm sure I'll post about my thoughts on it at some point and we'll have a great debate)

Oh, I remember reading Pilgrim's Progress when I was younger and I loved it!!!!

I also count on my hubby for his feedback and there are times when I will ask him to read a post before I publish it. Not all the time but occasionally!

Forgot to add that my facebook friends are usually pretty good but yes, I have on occasion come across that on blogs but not often fortunately!

I think it stinks that we sometimes have to put disclaimers on our own blogs. Feel free to speak your mind. This is your blog and it's supposed to be like a journal for you. If someone doesn't like what you have to say they don't need to come read your blog.
Just my 2 cents. :)

I found you through Tracy's blog "Abundant Living". I look forward to reading your earlier posts to "catch up" as it were.

Nice to meet you!
