Our Family

Woman was taken out of man; not out of his head to top him, nor out of his feet to be trampled underfoot; but out of his side to be equal to him, under his arm to be protected, and near his heart to be loved. ~ Matthew Henry

Since much of my writing concerns my family, I feel it only proper to introduce us as a whole. My husband, Nate, and I met in March 2003 and were married by November of the same year. We really have an amazing story of God's Providence. We were two souls walking in the depths of worldly rebellion and God by His amazing grace, changed our hearts towards Him.

Nate and I really never wanted children. On occasion we would toy with the idea; but, we always came back to the fact that this world is so lost...why and how could we possibly bring a child into this world. We daydreamed and spoke of the luxuries and freedoms we would have with a childless life. And then once again, God changed our hearts.

It brings tears to my eyes to imagine a childless life. I have experienced some of the most amazing moments that feed my soul all because of my children.

Lily is our firstborn and our angel. She is cautious and loving. I forsee her being a mother to many.

J.J. ... well, J.J. I almost can't say it without shaking my head. He is wild and spontaneous. He can light up a room with his captivating smile. I must not leave out...he drives us crazy! He truly changed our lives. I see J.J. being a strong man of God who will do great things for His Kingdom.

And then there is Anna Lee...born March 23, 2011. Before she was here I sensed peace...and that is what she has given to our family. She has peacefully slipped into our lives and molded herself in as if she has always been here. Our days carry on as if a new baby is an every day occurence...what tremendous joy is this blessing from God!

Lord willing, to be Continued...
